Intro to Mindful Art | 4 weeks | $120.00

Mindfulness is the practice of purposely bringing one’s attention to the present moment, becoming an observer of one’s thoughts and emotions without judgment. While mindfulness has its roots in meditation, it can be practiced through activities such as art-making.

Mindful art is about using art-making as a way to be in the present moment. With this type of art you are not striving for a specific outcome or to make something that looks “good”. You are simply allowing yourself to make whatever marks you feel like in the moment without concern for the end result. It’s about the process, not the outcome. There is no “right” or “wrong” way to do it.

In this 4-week class you will learn mindful art practices that promote relaxation, stress relief, and an increased sense of well-being. These are simple exercises anyone can do regardless of skill level. Cost is $120.00 per person. All supplies are included.

Sundays, 2-4pm | February 18, 25, March 3, 10

HOW TO BE A MINDFUL ARTIST

"If you hear a voice within you say ‘you cannot paint,’ then by all means paint, and that voice will be silenced." ~ Vincent Van Gogh
